Venus in Scorpio: The All-Consuming Love

Venus in Scorpio is tormented by the tides of love, swept into a sea of fear on the darkest of nights. This Venus sign finds it hard to simply trust the universe, to go with the flow the way a Pisces would. They spend their evenings by the fireplace in contemplation as they punish themselves by initial distance from their beloved. The beloved whose biggest woe is his/her unawareness of how the strings of their secret admirer’s heart are torn – for the Venus in Scorpio native would never let him/her know.. They would have to be sure that it is mutual first. They cannot survive a love that is not reciprocated – it would wound them too deeply.

Venus in Scorpio bleeds inside each time they see their lover from afar, and they bleed to death if that lover is found to be in the arms of another. They dwell in the shadows of the love they feel, spending hours and hours on listening to emotional music, describing their feelings in poems or writing, relating to it through Plutonian-themed relationships in books or movies, finding solace in their passionate thoughts. They dream and long for the moment they can consume their lover in all its dark glory. Venus in Scorpio wants to strip you down and reveal the locked layers of your soul. They want to reach within the most taboo parts of your mind and bring them out in sudden intimate moments. They want to gaze into your eyes when you’re alone and freeze the time against all odds.

“Mina, to walk with me you must die to your breathing life and be reborn to mine.” ~ Bram Stoker’s Dracula

The love of a Venus in Scorpio makes you feel like you are loved by a vampire – hungry, possessed and eternally tortured. Sleepless nights and intense dreams are part of the experience. Intriguing confusion is not unusual either – you’ll find yourself spellbound in their love and unable to get them out of your head. Neither is there any escape from their bedroom as Venus in Scorpio will lock you inside and never let you go. A marriage with them would be a complete merging of souls. The bond a Venus in Scorpio forms is truly unbreakable. Trust is of the utmost importance and a faith as strong as theirs is expected in return. Venus in Scorpio will worship you even beyond death and immortalize you in their art.

Yesss! I can definitely relate to this post all the way. I have Venus in Scorpio in the 5th house conjunct Pluto which is also in Scorpio. I also have 4 stelliums in Scorpio. I can’t help but to be intense even when it comes to just “liking” someone…it’s never just a “like” but I’m also longing for a deep, soulful connection and nothing less. Heartache for me is inevitable. As you may know that along with these placements comes possessiveness, jealousy, and obsession. Not many people can tolerate nor understand these emotional depths.

Hello, thank you so much for your comment. I am glad you were able to relate to my article on this placement!

I’m an Aries Venus lol 😂 with Scorpio moon and rising sign. Idk how that plays well in my chart since there are blogs that talk about Scorpio moons in romance so it kinda makes me wonder how does it affect the Venus sign. But this was a nice blog!!!

From my own personal experience it’s always “all or nothing relationships” and if that fails to be proven form the other side then everything else looses it’s essence. We can’t pretend in love and if we are doing it there are other motives but even that in any case doesn’t last too long. We want full dedication so there is no saying “to me you are the prettiest” because it should be visible it is for the whole world and that he took the best one. We are extremely jealous and we don’t have to show it but yes we have already checked everything around waiting for you “to fall”.

Do you know much about Composite? if so, could you add a little tidbit about how this placement manifests in a composite? I would really appreciate it. I also love all of your articles and am eating them up =3 keep it up and i look forward to more!

Thank you for reading my articles, Axelle! Venus in a Composite chart is about how the couple romantically relates to relationship. In the sign of Scorpio, they would both feel this is an intense bond with ups and downs, depending on the house placement and the aspects.

With Venus, mercury and Neptune in Scorpio, second house… and a Taurus moon, love can be tied to soooooo many emotional ups and downs. Lovers tend to fail physically with me even tho they are ALL kinds of busy with other women. I’m beginning to think that I have something in me that scares them into ed issues!

It’s helping me understand myself better. I’ve recently learned I have 5 planted in Scorpio. Venus, Moon, Sun, Mars & Mercury. Hence, I’ve enjoyed your posts immensely. ?

Wow, so you have a Scorpio Stellium! Expect to see a lot of Plutonian articles in the near future. I plan to write a lot. ?

Does Venus in the 8th house count?

          • Astro Kitty September 28, 2016 at 10:58 AM

Yes, that is something I would call a Plutonian placement as well. Venus in the 8th House shares some similarities with Venus in Scorpio.
